Fragonard streamlines inventory operations and improves stock accuracy with Cegid

Based in Grasse, Fragonard is a perfume house operating a network of boutiques across France and internationally. With strong seasonality and peak trading periods, particularly ahead of sales, accurate stock management is critical to ensuring product availability and smooth store operations.

To meet these challenges, Fragonard selected Cegid and its mobile solution Cegid Retail Inventory Tracking.

From manual processes to reliable, real-time inventory

Before implementing the solution, inventories were still carried out manually. Paper-based processes were time-consuming, rigid and more prone to errors, placing a heavy burden on store teams and head office alike.

Fragonard’s goal was clear: increase inventory accuracy, reduce the time spent on stock counts and secure stock movements directly at store level.

A mobile solution embraced by store teams

Deployed in November 2023, Cegid Retail Inventory Tracking enables teams to carry out full, partial or rolling inventories directly in store, using mobile devices. The solution is also used to manage goods receipts, inter-store transfers and stock discrepancies, and can be operated online or offline, depending on store connectivity.

Following a successful initial rollout, Fragonard extended the solution across its entire retail network. Today, all stores are equipped, with multiple devices available in higher-volume locations.

Faster inventories and clearer stock visibility

With Cegid, Fragonard has shifted to regular, recurring inventory counts, carried out weekly by product area or sub-category. This approach has significantly reduced inventory time, limited errors caused by similar product references and improved stock visibility across the network, helping teams better serve customers.

With Cegid Retail Inventory Tracking, Fragonard now relies on a robust and scalable inventory management solution to support its retail operations. The brand is already considering new use cases, particularly around labelling, and is exploring future omnichannel services.
