GANT elevates the in-store CX with Cegid

GANT, which has over 650 stores in 31 markets continues to accelerate its omnichannel journey with Cegid, following an initial roll out of Cegid’s POS and Unified Commerce platform across Europe.

In a new video filmed at GANTs store in Battersea Power Station, Head of Global IT Omnichannel at GANT Ricky Dematagollage shares the demands of onboarding new markets due to fiscal rules and local compliance regulations, which is why the brand initially partnered with Cegid.

Improved visibility and data accuracy

Having real-time visibility of stock across stores globally has also continued to become increasingly important as Dematagollage notes; “We know exactly where our stock is, whether that’s a warehouse or a store in any country at any given time.” Dematagollage adds: “Our store staff can get real time reports throughout the day.”

For the future, GANT is increasingly looking at how the business can become more customer centric. Its CRM is a case in point. Since 2017, CRM members have grown by 150%, with 60% of transactions in the UK coming from loyalty members, which are essentially returning customers. As Dematagollage notes: “Everything we have done in the past and we do right now is around the customer.”

Dematagollage continues: “We are introducing new store concepts across all our markets. In that new store concept, again the customer is at the heart. We will not have conventional tills or cash desks. We are thinking of mobile tills with tablets and iPhones and a seating area where we can serve the customer better and also omnichannel functionalities, like ship from store, is high on the agenda for us. We are introducing a new marketplace so Cegid will be a key part of that marketplace solution as well.”

Other brands like Lacoste, TheKooples, Aigle, Jacquemus– also use Cegids Unified Commerce Platform, which means they can all benefit from shared experiences within the group.
