The move to the Cloud that started in 2017 is gathering pace. Cegid announced the opening of a third Point of Delivery based in Singapore, in addition to the two already open in Europe and the United States. It will begin at the end of June with two customers, Chaussures Weston and Shiseido. The Cloud is a key strategic area for the Group and offers the retail industry a number of invaluable benefits: speed, data security and use on demand, among others, all supported by a 24/7 service and hotline.

+1

Another headline announcement made at Cegid Connections was the launch of Cegid’s Distributed Order Management (DOM) software, a new block in its logistics solutions. DOM orchestrates orders from all channels and determines optimal routing decisions for the retailer based on various factors such as delivery time or logistics cost. It is a ship-from-store management system. It will be available from the end of the year with pilot testing during that period.

230

Cegid has equipped the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées store with 230 smartphones. Shiseido started from scratch in this store and used it as an opportunity to change its approach by putting the customer at the heart of the shopping experience through ultra personalization. The salespeople are stylists who accompany customers throughout their experience. They each have a smartphone running the Cylande and UR PoS solutions. The project lasted 18 months with a first pilot test in September 2018. The store opened on 28 March.
