Retail Summit 2019: Strategic partner Cegid champions customer-centric tech

A new generation of retailers is succeeding thanks to a bold commitment to change.

The concept of digital disruption in retail is being examined and celebrated in Dubai, at the forthcoming Retail Summit 2019. Cegid is delighted to be a strategic partner of this much-anticipated industry event.

The two-day conference (13thand 14thFebruary) will be held in the Palm Jumeirah’s iconic Atlantis Hotel, and boasts a packed agenda of conference presentations and debates. An audience of global retailers and brands will hear from over 80 speakers – technology experts, and global c-suite and senior retail executives – with the opportunity to question, learn and network. Hot topics range from the latest thinking on New Retailcoming from China, to the impact of social selling. Delegates will also be exploring today’s challenge of gaining a 360 degree view of customers, and providing them with a fully connected, personalised, joined-up shopping experience across an ever-growing range of channels.

In Dubai all eyes will be on the achievements of forward-looking brands and the systems they are using to perfect unified commerce and better understand the new breed of connected consumer. From Sir Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, to Huda Kattan founder and CEO of Huda Beauty, a rich source of business expertise will be on display at the Retail Summit this year. International brands including Coca-Cola, The Four Seasons, Balmain and The Honest Company will be represented. On 14thFebruary, Mark Dunhill, CEO Whittard of Chelsea – a Cegid customer – will join Gary Lenett, CEO and founder of Duer, to discuss today’s consumer expectations around the in-store experience.

And being Dubai, famed for its high-end shopping experiences, there’s a strong emphasis on the challenges that luxury brands face, across all global settings. This is guaranteed to be a fascinating couple of days.

How to achieve a frictionless shopping experience to never miss a sale

Cegid will be attending the event to learn from others, and of course to share our insights into the future of retail. As a leading retail technology provider, our mission is perfectly in tune with the central themes underpinning the agenda at the Retail Summit event this year – namely how the industry is planning for future growth and customer excellence at all potential touchpoints. We aim to help retailers capture new growth opportunities and never miss a sale by delivering a unified, personalised shopping experience in-store, online, anytime, everywhere.

At The Retail Summit 2019, we are in a fantastic position to share learnings, and inspire others to digitise their stores and reinvent the customer experience to be ready for the consumers’ future needs and demands. Retail brands we’ve helped succeed with our unified commerce software include Gant, Lacoste, Barbour, Quiksilver, Longchamp and Yves Rocher, so we have insightful client stories to tell – bringing to life the reality of what tech can achieve in the retail space today.

Memorable shopping experiences

At Cegid we are constantly in dialogue with retailers who feel the pressure to deliver truly memorable shopping experiences. Our clients recognise the need for customer interactions to be managed robustly and reliably, no matter where in the world their new stores and services are launching. When technology is at the core of the customer proposition, it must be totally reliable and scalable – something Cegid is committed to delivering.

Many of the presentations at the Retail Summit explore the importance today of providing a frictionless shopping experience, particularly in the luxury sphere, where on-going relationships with customers are so important. We are eager to participate in these discussions, and have a wealth of knowledge to share on how to truly delight customers, and never miss a sale. Talk to us at the summit to find out more.
