Founded in 1952, Autogyre designs and manufactures air treatment and solar protection products, such as ventilation grates, mechanical ventilation systems, sunbreakers and aluminum louvers. Based in Melun (France), the company has a design office and a testing laboratory, as well as modern, flexible production facilities that it uses to manufacture in large runs or to customize its production processes. Autogyre has around 100 employees and posts annual sales of €15 million, of which 10% is exported. To adopt an open and integrated IT solution and facilitate the circulation of information between its various departments, Autogyre has chosen the Yourcegid Manufacturing vertical solution. The company was attracted by the software's ability to manage sales, inventory, procurement, sub-contracting, technical information, production orders and needs calculation, and also by its quality management, CRM, EDI and accounting modules. Cegid engineers installed the system in October 2008 and since then, 30 Autogyre employees have been using the system simultaneously and on a daily basis to manage all enterprise functions. The solution has enabled Autogyre to improve and/or fully automate its internal processes. "We were impressed by the openness of this ERP, built around a standard database, and by how well the various modules integrate. We also enjoy the ease of moving from one screen to another. Starting with an invoice, we can look at the inventory situation or the original estimate. In addition, starting next year the web interface will give all of our salespeople remote access to the company's information system," said Marc Miller, Autogyre's chief information officer. The planning department now has a production simulation and coordination tool that optimizes inventory and the timing of manufacturing orders. Because the ERP's technical configurator is perfectly integrated, the sales department has become much more efficient. From estimate to production, information circulates much more quickly, cutting down on changes during manufacturing and reducing delivery lead times.
